Synonyms:2-Methylhydroquinone / THQ / Toluhydroquinone
Molecular Formula: C7H8O2CAS No.: 95-71-6
Product introduction: TOLUHYDROQUINONE is highly effective Polymerization inhibitor instead of hydroquinone. It protects coated and sealed surfaces from degradation caused by environmental factors. THQ is a highly effective polymerization inhibitor for unsaturated resins. A typical resin addition of 0.02% can achieve excellent polymerization inhibition during production and storage. The stability of the resin against hardening after polymerization inhibition lasts for more than half a year. The presence of a methyl group gives TOLUHYDROQUINONE similar but enhanced stabilization properties compared to hydroquinone. TOLUHYDROQUINONE is commonly used as an additive during formulation to promote long-term stability without compromising other performance characteristics.
Methylhydroquinone(THQ) is characterized by good solubility, low addition amount, and good thermal stability. It has little effect on the resin esterification time. It is an updated version of hydroquinone, has no pollution to the product itself, and is not affected by temperature and environment. 3. It is used as a stabilizer and antioxidant for unsaturated resins. It can also be used as an antioxidant for non-edible oils, greases, fatty acid esters, linseed oil, etc. It can also be used in pigments, dyes, and pharmaceutical intermediates.
OPQ Chemical have do the TOLUHYDROQUINONE(THQ) for about 20years.
We are the mainly manufacturer for quinones and phenols, such as THQ,HQ,TBHQ etc.
